Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia to End Service in February 2024

Square Enix has announced that one of its longer-running smartphone games, Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, is shutting down in February 2024 after six years of service.

“To our loyal players, it is with deep regret that we inform you that Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia will end service on February 29, 2024,” read a statement from the developer, marking the end of another mobile game.

“We would like to thank you for your many years of support, and hope you can enjoy playing for a little while longer.”

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia launched as a smartphone game based on the Dissidia Final Fantasy games, first released in Japan on February 1, 2017, followed by a worldwide launch on January 30, 2018. The game has passed 10 million downloads as of June 2022 and boasts a total of 179 characters from across the Final Fantasy franchise.
